Eastbourne Borough are delighted to announce that Leone Gravata has signed a contract extension committing him to the club until 2024.

After coming through the youth system, Gravata signed for the Sports in 2020.

After a spell out on loan during the 21/22 season, Gravata returned to the squad and produced some exciting performances from the bench, earning him a new contract and a place in Bloor’s squad for the 22/23 season

Gravata, 21, has featured in every single league game so far this season and it’s no surprise that Bloor is pleased that he has committed his long term future to the club.

Danny Bloor said “I am absolutely delighted that Leone has signed a contract extension to stay at Eastbourne Borough Football until 2024.

I have known Leone since he was 16 years of age and it has been amazing to see him grow up both on and off the field.

It became clear to us at the end of last season that he had a major part to play in this campaign and he has grabbed his opportunity with both hands and has quickly established himself as one of the best wide players in the league and a major part of our plans here at Eastbourne Borough.
As we have seen this season Leone is a fantastic young talent and he has all the attributes to succeed after putting in a lot of hard work.”

Leone commented “I’m delighted to sign the extension. The trust the coaches and the manager have in me is amazing.
I’m really enjoying the football we’re playing and the team has great potential to do big things.
The fans are also so supportive to me and the team so I really can’t wait to carry on developing with this club.

Leone is part of the squad for this Saturdays home game against Oxford – 3pm Kick Off.
