Eastbourne Borough are delighted to announce the signing of Alfie Bridgman from Portsmouth.

The 19-year-old is representing Malta in the Euro Under 19 Championships next week and is the next exciting addition to Mark Beard’s squad.

The midfielder made two appearances in the Papa John’s Trophy for Portsmouth in 2021/22, before he spent last season on loan at Bognor Regis Town.

He was first called up to the Malta U19 squad last summer, and has since made nine international appearances – scoring four times for his country.

Supporters can watch Alfie in action next week as the Euro U19 Finals get underway. In a group with Poland, Portugal and Italy, Malta will look to impress and cause an upset.

His first match on Monday night against Italy (8pm kick off) can be watched live on UEFA.tv by the following link.
