Eastbourne Borough are delighted to announce the signing of experienced midfielder Yaser Kasim.
Kasim joins the club with Football League experience having played over 100 times for Swindon Town, as well as a short period of time with Northampton. Kasim started his career with Fulham youth before making the switch to Tottenham.
After leaving Spurs, Kasim joined Brighton and made two appearances for Albion before he was loaned out to Macclesfield and Luton in 2012/13.
32-year-old Kasim then found regular football at Swindon where he featured 122 times in League One before moving onto Northampton.
Having played a few seasons abroad in Sweden and his native Iraq, Kasim started the 2022/23 season with National League South side Welling United, before joining Gloucester City where he only featured once before leaving. He ended the season with Margate.
As well as his club career to date, Kasim is an Iraq full international having played 21 times for his country, netting three times in his international career.
