The points were shared between Eastbourne Borough and Welling United as Danny Bloor made his return to Priory Lane.

Welling created the first opportunity after five minutes when Tristan Abrahams found space twenty yards from goal, but his dipping strike came brushed the top of the bar.

The Sports then had a strong penalty appeal when Sam Beard was pushed over inside the area, but the referee waved play on.

Borough were dealt a blow when Leone Gravata was forced off injured, but the Sports had the best of the first half. Jay Beckford had a low drive saved, before Yaser Kasim went close but couldn’t find the far corner.

The hosts were then awarded a penalty in first half stoppage time when Beard was clipped by Crossley Lema, and Decarrey Sheriff stepped up to send Ben Winterbottom the wrong way.

However, Welling drew level midway through the second half when Antony Papadopoulos saw his shot well blocked by Alex Finney, but the loose ball fell to Jephte Tanga who fired beyond Harrison Foulkes from twelve yards.

And the Wings turned the game on its head just seven minutes later. James Vaughan’s corner was headed down by Dom Odusanya and Tristan Abrahams was first to react and he swept in from close range.

Just when it looked like it would be a happy return for Bloor, the Sports drew level late on when Shiloh Remy fired in from ten yards.
