Eastbourne Borough are delighted to announce the signing of forward Callum Kealy from Havant & Waterlooville.
Born in Sydney, Australia, Kealy arrives at Priory Lane having already scored four goals this term for the Westleigh Park outfit.
That follows a 14-goal return last campaign, twelve of which came at Sussex rivals Worthing before moving to Havant in February.
“Callum is a fantastic signing for us and is someone with great experience,” said boss Mark Beard.
“He is an all-round powerful centre forward who scores goals, is great at linking up play and doesn’t stop working across the front line.
“I am delighted to have signed him having worked briefly with him at Dorking Wanderers. He will go straight in to the team today.”
Kealy came through the ranks at Brighton & Hove Albion, before he was released in the summer of 2016.
A successful spell at Lewes preceded a move to Met. Police, where four goals in eight games attracted the attentions of Aston Villa and Fulham, as well as The Seagulls. Unfortunately, a wrist injury put paid to any immediate plans to make it back into the professional ranks and he joined Worthing for his first spell in July 2018.
The 25-year old then moved on to Sutton United in January 2020 and ended the campaign as a National League champion. Left Gander Green Lane and joined Dorking Wanderers at the start of the 2021/22 campaign, where he re-joined Worthing for a second spell, initially on loan, in December 2021 before making the move permanent at the end of the season.
Then after impressing in West Sussex, making over 130 appearances for the Rebels, he joined Havant for an undisclosed fee in February 2023.
Callum will wear number 25 for the Sports, and is available for our match at St. Albans City.
