Eastbourne Borough are delighted to announce the signing of David Sesay from Weymouth.
The 25-year-old full-back came through the academy at Watford, where he spent eleven years before being released in 2018.
He then joined Crawley Town, where he won their Young Player of the Year award in his first season.
After making over 50 football league appearances, he left the League Two side in the summer of 2021 he joined Barnet, before being snapped up by National League Wealdstone.
“I’m excited to be here,” said Sesay.
“I know the club are very ambitious and have big plans, and I’m really looking forward to being a part of it.”
“Being full-time is a big aspect as well. I’ve been waiting to get back into full-time football and the vision of the club matches my ambitions.”
The Sierra Leone international joined Weymouth on loan for the second half of the 2022/23 season, before making that move permanent over the summer.
Sesay was named in Sierra Leone’s squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, but did not make an appearance at the tournament.
He joins the Sports from Weymouth having made 35 appearances and scoring twice having played an integral role in helping them escape relegation on the final day of last season.
