Eastbourne Borough Women are delighted to confirm the signing of Izzy Payne, subject to International Clearance.

Payne has spent the last three years playing in the USA for Arizona Western College, becoming Region 1 Champions in 2021 and in 2022 winning the ACCAC Conference Championship.

The midfielder then moved to University of Mobile, playing for the Rams this season.

Izzy, formerly of Hastings United won the SCWGFL Premier in the 2020/21 season and links back up with our current boss Billy Wood.

Women’s boss Wood commented: “Izzy was my Young Player of the year three years ago before heading to the states.

“When I got the call that she was coming back home and would like to come in for me it’s a no brainer. Izzy has footballing intelligence and is still a young player who could go on the journey with the club.

“She can play in a multitude of positions and with our fluid style of play she will add another dimension. We look forward to international clearance being complete and Izzy taking part in the final push this season.”
