Eastbourne Borough Football Club recently held their highly popular Holiday Soccer Schools at Priory Lane, with 155 children attending the boys, girls and disability courses throughout half term.
With a mixture of sunshine and showers throughout the five days our local youngsters enjoyed a mixture of football in the stadium, a meet and greet with the men’s first team players, a mascot appearance from Sammy Sunshine and club certificates, merchandise and Player of the Week awards.
Community Manager Tim Brown was full of praise for both the local children and his team of Community Coaches. He said: “We’ve had another terrific week of youth football here at Priory Lane, with plenty of goals, saves and smiles from lots of new faces that have never even been to our ground before.
“What’s especially pleasing is that we’ve now seen many of these new players go on to sign up for our weekly community training sessions so they’ve clearly had a fantastic time!
“A huge thank you must go to our Community Coaches for all of their hard work throughout the week, and we are already working on details of our Easter Soccer Schools which we will be publicising in the next few days.”
