Eastbourne Borough made it seven points out of nine after a fully deserved win over Taunton Town.
David Sesay’s stunning strike gave the Sports the lead at the break, with Yahya Bamba’s late goal wrapping up all three points at Priory Lane.
Adam Murray’s side are now just three points from Naitonal League South safety with eight games to go.
The hosts made a good start at Priory Lane, with Decarrey Sheriff firing wide of the near post before Alfie Bendle saw his shot saved by Lloyd Irish.
Brad Barry then had a thumping header kept out, before the visitors went within a whisker of going in front. Zac Bell’s low cross found Nat Jarvis, whose effort from close range came back off the post, with the ricochet hitting Seb Bolton and the ball went just over.
Jack Clarke then had a deflected effort loop off the foot of the post at the other end, before Harrison Foulkes made a superb save to deny Bolton who look set to score a tap in.
And it was the Sports who went in front just before the break. After being found by Sheriff on the left, David Sesay cut inside onto this right foot before picking out the top corner with a superb finish from outside the area.
Sesay and then Yahya Bamba were then denied by Irish just after half-time, before Foulkes turned Jarvis’ effort around the post.
Bamba then spurned a great chance to seal the points when he somehow fired wide when well placed after good work from substitute Finn Ballard McBride.
But with Taunton pushing for an equaliser, Borough wrapped up the victory in stoppage time. Collecting the ball in his own half, Bamba raced past a defender to break through on goal and one on one showed composure to find the bottom corner for his second goal in his first three games for the club.
