Eastbourne Borough FC are excited to announce our new Men’s first team signing Delwin Duah
The defender, 19, is a promising talent who has emerged from our successful partnership with Bexhill College. Delwin, a standout performer at Bexhill, joins our senior team as the latest testament to the fruitful collaboration between the club and the college.
Alan Williams, CEO of Eastbourne Borough FC, shared his enthusiasm about the ongoing partnership: “I am very happy about the relationship we have with Bexhill College as it is providing an amazing pathway through to our senior team. We look forward to the future players that will come through and I am very excited about doing the same system with the women’s team this year.”
Delwin, who had a remarkable season last year, expressed his excitement about joining the club. “It feels unreal to be fair. Really good, I’m just looking forward to it,” he said. Delwin’s decision to join Eastbourne Borough was influenced by the club’s vision and future plans. “Seeing the project and what they have planned for the future made me want to be a part of it. With the facilities they have, the club can really help me set up to play on.”
Transitioning from part-time football at Eastbourne Town and the academic system to Eastbourne Borough will undoubtedly present new challenges. Delwin acknowledged the physical demands of this step up but is ready to embrace them. “I feel like it will be hard physically, but I’m ready for the challenge.”
With clear ambitions for the upcoming season, Delwin aims to improve significantly as a player, make a statement on the field, and secure as much playing time as possible. He models his style of play after Rudiger, noting, “I’ve got a bit of aggression,” which he believes will resonate well with the fans.
Delwin is eager to connect with the supporters and make a positive impact. “I look forward to seeing them. I hope you like my style of play and I just can’t wait to get started,” he added.
We anticipate great things from this talented young player and look forward to his contributions on the pitch.
Welcome to Priory Lane, Delwin!
