Aurie De Carteret sealed his first win in charge of Eastbourne Borough Under 18s as they booked their place in the semi final of the Sussex FA Dennis Probee Youth Cup.

Matt Searle got the only goal of the game for the young Sports away at Peacehaven & Telscombe, with the 1-0 win booking their place in the last four of the competition.

In a game of few chances, it was the Sports who made theirs count to set up a tie against either Whitehawk or Burgess Hill Town away from home in February.

It’s a case of two games in as many days for the young Hawks, though, who turn their attention to an Isthmian Youth League match away at Whitehawk tonight (Monday).
