Eastbourne Borough will be looking to complete the league double over Hemel Hempstead when the Tudors travel to The ReachTV Stadium.

The Sports ran riot at Vauxhall Road back in November – with George Alexander scoring his first league hat-trick in the 5-2 win.

Freddie Carter and Brayden Johnson got the other goals as the Sports moved to top of the National League South standings back in November.

Hemel, though, have since changed their managerial team – replacing Bobby Wilkinson with Hendon boss Lee Allinson.

Lee has plenty of experience at this level, with support from Ian Allinson – the former Arsenal midfielder and Boreham Wood and St Albans City boss – and the Tudors travel to The ReachTV Stadium having lost just one of the last nine league outings.

That includes a last-gasp local derby win against St Albans City on Monday night – with Mazeed Ogungbo scoring in the fifth minute of stoppage time to win 2-1 at Focus Community Arena.

The win followed back-to-back goalless draws with Chelmsford City and Maidstone United.

For Borough, they will be looking to maintain the only unbeaten home record in the National League South this afternoon.

Adam Murray’s side continued that record with a dominant display against Hampton & Richmond last Tuesday night – with Jason Adigun and Josh Anifowose scoring their first goals for the club in a 3-1 win.

And although a mad five-minute spell saw them suffer a setback at Boreham Wood, Borough bounced back with an emphatic win away at Enfield Town.

Alexander scored a hat-trick, with Camron Gbadebo and Yahaya Bamba also on target in a 5-0 triumph.

That win moved the Sports up to second – and whilst other teams have games in hand, Borough will be more happy having points on the board.

The Sports boast a strong record in recent years over Hemel – with the Tudors winning just one of the last ten previous meetings – and they will be looking to keep that record going this afternoon. With two months to go, there promises to be twists and turns around every corner, though!
