Eastbourne Borough enter the last seven games of the National League South season knowing that they need to continue their momentum ahead of welcoming Farnborough to the ReachTV Stadium.
The Sports welcome ninth-place Farnborough looking to extend their six-game unbeaten run in the league, knowing that three points will keep the pressure up on those teams fighting for promotion around them.
Farnborough, though, will be looking for the points themselves as they bid to fight for a top half finish, with Spencer Day’s side nine points away from the top seven.
The Manager
Spencer Day joined Farnborough in November 2011 and oversaw a turnaround in the club’s fortunes securing their status in the Conference South in the following three seasons.
After 2 relegations, mainly due to off field issues, he successfully led Farnborough to promotion to the Southern League Premier Division in the 2016/17 season through the Play-Offs after finishing the season a comfortable 2nd.
After successfully navigating the covid pandemic, he guided the team to promotion back to step 2 in with victory in the Play-Off Final having spent virtually all season at the top of the division.
Known for his relentless work behind the scenes, furnishing the players with all they need to know about each opponent, Spencer, working closely with the club owner, has brought a period of stability and success to Farnborough.
Danger Man
Combative midfielder Aaron Kuhl made the return to Farnborough from Dorking Wanderers in October 2024, after enjoying a successful loan spell during the previous season.
Having risen up through Reading’s Academy from the age of 15, Kuhl has also represented Dundee United and Boreham Wood on loan, with a permanent stint at Basingstoke Town in 2019. sandwiched in between.
Aaron has England caps at Under 19 and 20 level to his name, taking to the International stage in victories over Azerbaijan and Czech Republic.
