To address some inaccuracies and false information that’s being shared across some social media channels I feel it would be useful to clarify a few points with regard to the capacity at The ReachTV Stadium – and the potential attendance for our fixture versus Worthing this coming Good Friday.
Upon our takeover of the club, to be able to put together our plan and to comply with FA and National league regulations, the local council conducted a review of the stadium under the most recent set of safety guidelines, it was determined that the official capacity of the stadium now sits at 3,622.
There are some works that can be carried out under the new guidelines to increase this to back over 4000 capacity, but we haven’t done this as our attendances last season or this have not warranted it.
As of 10.30 this morning, taking into consideration our season ticket holders, pre-sold tickets, sponsors, hospitality, and other allocated youth team tickets, flag bearers and mascots there are only 250 tickets remaining for this match.
Looking at the last three days of sales it looks like the match will sell out today.
Once you have your ticket we urge you to arrive early on Friday, this will be a record home league game attendance and it will be unavoidably congested entering the ground if you wait till the last minute, or even 30.
Turnstiles will open at 13.00, we suggested you get in as early as possible, there are three bars in the stadium where you can purchase alcoholic and non alcoholic drink as well as the Mick Green Tea Bar, Priory Lane Pizza and The Westlers Dog House for hotdogs.
We look forward to seeing you in a few days, please do your bit to add to the atmosphere.
Alan
