Eastbourne Borough Football Club would like to thank those players who are departing the ReachTV Stadium this summer.
Brad Barry was the first player to commit to the club after its move into full-time football two years ago – following his first season at the club in 2022/23 – and leaves the Sports having captained the team for the last two years.
He made over 80 appearances over three seasons and whilst has had his time on the pitch interrupted with injury, he has showed to be a leader off the pitch, and was even in brief interim charge before Adam Murray’s appointment in January 2024.
Moussa Diarra, Siya Ligendza and Pierce Bird were all part of the team assembled by Murray upon his arrival, and all played their roles in The Great Escape – including Bird’s goal of the season strike against Maidstone United in March 2024.
Jack Clarke and David Sesay are both players who leave the club after two seasons. Clarke had his second season with the Sports halted by injury, but returned in February 2025 to play a vital role in midfield as the club pushed for the title. Sesay, meanwhile, played over 65 games for the Sports having joined in the Autumn of 2023.
Ollie Kensdale arrived at the Sports a few months into the 2024/25 campaign, but quickly became an ever-present at the heart of defence. His performances earned him a spot in the National League South Team of the Season, and has since confirmed his move to EFL League Two side Barnet.
We also say thank you to both Delwin Duah and Charlie Gibson – two young players who came through the club’s successful Academy and featured in our Sussex Senior Cup run, as well as thank you to Ernaldo Krasniqi for his efforts at the club.
Once a Sport, Always a Sport.
