Pemi Aderoju knows he is growing in confidence after scoring his first two goals for The Sports at Dulwich Hamlet.
The forward, on loan from Peterborough United, got both goals in the 2-1 win at Champion Hill.
Talking after the win in our penultimate pre-season game, Aderoju felt Borough were worth the victory.
“It was a good game – I thought especially at the start we looked very strong,” he said.
“The gaffer said that the first half an hour or so was probably the best we’ve played in pre-season – both as a team and as a collective – and I felt we deserved the win.
“At the start, there was a lot to work on in terms of tactics – but I feel we’re growing as each game comes. We’re building game by game, but there is still a lot of work to do.
“We’re starting to have that cohesion where everyone knows what they should be doing, and things are starting to come together.”

The 21-year-old fired home from close range in the 11th minute, before a great solo effort a few minutes later to put Borough two goals to the good.
He added: “I think coming off the back of the last game, when you feel like you’ve done well, you grow in confidence.
“It then always feels like the chances then fall to you, so confidence definitely plays a big part. Now I have to take that into the next game and then onto Farnborough.”
Off the pitch, Aderoju has adjusted well to life on the Sussex coast after making the season-long switch from League One Peterborough, and has spent time taking in the surroundings.
“All the boys in the changing room have been really welcoming,” he said.
“I’m getting used to Eastbourne after moving down here, it’s a nice town and everything is close together which is nice and I’m enjoying it so far.
Saturday’s final pre-season outing against Hashtag United is free entry at The ReachTV Stadium, and the forward is looking forward to seeing as many Borough supporters as possible ahead of the season kicking off on August 9th.
“It would be amazing to see as many supporters as possible. It will be my first experience of seeing a lot of fans at home and there are also a lot of new players who are also going to be looking forward to it.
“It will be a great way to set the tone going into the new season.”
