Football is back, and Eastbourne Borough kick off their pre-season campaign with a trip to Farnham Town this afternoon (July 12).
Matt Gray and Jason Goodliffe will have the opportunity to look at all the squad in action for the first time, as well as a few trialists as they head to Surrey.
Nine of last year’s squad remain at The ReachTV Stadium – although Josh Anifowose remains sidelined until September – as Gray looks to maintain The Sports’ momentum from last season.
Talking of momentum, they know they won’t be in for an easy task against Farnham Town, who start 2025/26 at Step Three having won back-to-back promotions.
Paul Johnson’s side line up in The Southern League Premier South for the first time in the club’s history on the back of being crowned champions of the South Central Division of the Isthmian League.
Borough, though, will have several debutants after a summer of change at The ReachTV Stadium – with supporters seeing the likes of Jamie Searle, Harvey Lintott, Joey Phuthi and Victor Akinwale in action for the very first time.
Kick off is 3pm at The Memorial Ground, Mead Lane, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 7DY.
Please note that it is advised that supporters use Waitrose Car Park (Lion & Lamb Way, GU9 7PY) for parking.
