Eastbourne Borough Football are very pleased to announce that Under 18 defender Jack May has signed a two-year contract with Swansea City.
Jack joined Eastbourne Borough at Under 16 as part of a very talented group that has added real value to the club over the last 18 months.
Jack was an integral part of that group, lead by Mark Newnham-Reeve, and was a mainstay at centre back.
It didn’t take long for Jack to integrate into the Under 18 set up, his qualities shining through that were impossible to overlook.
At 6ft 4, and being left footed, Jack has drawn attention from a number of clubs, it has been a winding road to Swansea.
Borough Under 18 boss Mark Standen said: “Consistent performances in both the Under 16 and Under 18 sides have given Jack the platform to progress and develop.
“Perhaps the biggest quality that shines through with Jack, is his attitude. There are plenty of talented players, not just at Eastbourne Borough, but across Sussex.
“Jack underpins his talent with a commitment and self-belief in his own ability that has driven him up the levels in the game, and given him the opportunity at Swansea.
“On behalf of Eastbourne Borough, I would like to congratulate Jack and his family on this achievement, wishing him nothing but success for the future.
“Jack May. Tops.”
We wish Jack all the best at Swansea!
