Eastbourne Borough will be looking to carry momentum from last weekend’s Emirates FA Cup victory as they face Salisbury at The ReachTV Stadium.

The Sports return to Enterprise National League South action following the 4-0 win over Epsom & Ewell, and will be looking for their first win of the league campaign.

Matt Gray’s side face a Salisbury team who too are searching for their first league win of the campaign, having drawn four and lost four of the opening eight fixtures.

Last Time Out

Eastbourne Borough avoided a potential FA Cup upset to secure their first win of the season against Epsom & Ewell.

Pemi Aderoju stooped low to head Jes Uchegbulam’s cross beyond Faebian Witter on 21 minutes, before Josh Anifowose was played through by Aderoju before firing home to double the lead on the half hour mark.

Epsom then lost keeper Witter through injury, but only after they were reduced to ten men when Adam Green was sent off for a poor challenge on Arthur Grout.

And Borough added to their lead late on. Aderoju headed Dan Quick’s cross in from the right to make it 3-0, before the forward – on loan from Peterborough – completed his hat-trick in stoppage time, glancing a header from Isaac Pitblado’s cross into the far corner.

The Sports will travel to Southern League Premier South side Sholing in the Third Qualifying Round next weekend.

The Opposition

Salisbury travel to The ReachTV Stadium looking for their first win of the campaign after accumulating four points from their eight league games to date.

It hasn’t been the start Brian Dutton’s side would have wanted to the new season – their second after promotion from the Southern League Premier South.

After a thrilling 3-3 draw with Hornchurch, the Whites draw at Horsham before back-to-back defeats against Worthing (2-0) and Tonbridge Angels (3-1).

However, they picked up their first win of the season in the FA Cup last weekend – beating Laverstock & Ford 4-1 at The Ray Mac Stadium.
