Eastbourne Borough will be looking to bounce back to winning ways in the Enterprise National League South when they travel to Enfield Town.

The Sports were made to pay for missed chances as Chesham United came from behind to win at Connect Management Stadium last weekend.

And after seeing off Chichester City in the Sussex Transport Senior Cup in midweek, Tommy Widdrington’s side will be looking for their second win of the campaign.

The Opposition

A run of eight games unbeaten saw Enfield Town survive the drop in their first season at this level last term, and Gavin MacPherson’s side will be hoping to improve on that this time around.

They currently sit four points better off than The Sports in 20th – with three wins from their 13 games so far.

After a fine win against Ebbsfleet United, they fell to a 1-0 defeat at Horsham last weekend, before bowing out of the Middlesex Senior Cup on penalties to Uxbridge in midweek.

Previous Meetings

The Sports completed the league double over Enfield last term. Alfie Pavey’s first half effort gave Borough a 1-0 win in September 2024, before we ran riot at Dave Bryant Stadium.

George Alexander scored a hat-trick, with Camron Gbadebo and Yahya Bamba also on target in a thumping 5-0 win.

Prior to that, the two teams previously met in the FA Cup back in 2014 – with Borough winning on penalties in a replay.
