Eastbourne Borough take a break from National League South action on Tuesday night when Billingshurst are the visitors in a Sussex Transport Senior Cup Second Round tie.
The Sports will be looking to book their place in the Third Round of the competition as they welcome Southern Combination League Division One side Billingshurst to Priory Lane.
Borough last lifted the trophy back in 2015/16, when a Nat Pinney goal proved to be the difference in a 1-0 win over Worthing at Brighton & Hove Albion’s AMEX Stadium in front of a crowd of 2,899.
That was the third time the Sports have won the Sussex FA Senior Cup, following successes in 2008/09 and 2001/02.
Mark Beard’s men welcome a Billingshurst team who have already caused an upset in the First Round of the competition, beating SCFL Premier Division side AFC Varndeanians 2-0 with goals from Tim Bennett and Ronnie Reeves.
But since that win, Billingshurst have lost their last four matches across all competitions by an aggregate of 15-3 and sit 15th in the SCFL Division One table, with two wins from their ten league matches to date.
Kick off is 7.45pm at Priory Lane.
Entry is £5 for Adults and £3 Concessions.
