We are delighted to announce Acorns Charitable Trust as the new Short Sponsor for our Women’s First Team.

The trust has played a key role in the history of the football club, and this sponsorship celebrates the continued partnership between both parties.

A spokesperson for the Acorns Charitable Trust said: “The charities aim is the provision and maintenance of a playing field and recreation ground and to provide other facilities for the benefit of the community at large.

“This includes persons who by reason of youth, age, infirmity, disability, poverty, social or economic circumstances have special need for such facilities, with a view to improving their health and well-being.

“In the recent years we have supported many local charities as well as national ones including the Kent Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance, Child Respite Trust as well as many local ones including Say aphasia, Defiant Sport and the Langney Shed group.

“We continue to support the football club as volunteers on match days as well as providing ground maintenance on the site.

“We are proud to sponsor the Eastbourne Borough Women’s Team and have watched the amazing growth of the team in their performances in recent months.”

Borough Women’s boss and Commercial Manager Billy Wood added: “We are all delighted to add Acorns Charitable Trust to our growing list of sponsors.

“The club continue to do great things with the trust, and we appreciate the support.

“Women’s football at Priory Lane is an ever-expanding area and with their support we can continue to not only shine a light on them from a first team standpoint, but it helps our commitment within our youth division.”
