Eastbourne Borough bid to make it three wins in a row in all competitions for the first time this season when they welcome league leaders Yeovil Town to Priory Lane.
Victory in the Sussex Senior Cup was followed up by a battling performance at Welling United as the Sports won 2-0 in Kent last weekend.
But tomorrow (Saturday) promises to be an even sterner test as the National League South pacesetters make the trip to the Sussex coast.
Last Time Out
After almost twenty days without a league game, the Sports secured a big three points away at fellow strugglers Welling United.
Freddie Carter and Callum Kealy got the goals either side of the break as Borough won 2-0 at J Hearnden Skip Hire Community Stadium.
Mark Beard was able to call upon those who had recovered from injury, and those experienced heads made the difference as the Sports claimed only a second league clean sheet of the season.
In a real scrappy affair, the Sports showed a clinical edge in front of goal, whilst Harrison Foulkes put in a man-of-the-match performance in goal at the other end.
The only disappointment would be the injury to David Sesay, who limped off in the first half in Kent and is ruled out of tomorrow’s game.
The Opposition
Despite sitting seven points clear at the top of the National League South standings, Yeovil Town travel to Priory Lane looking for a return to winning ways after back-to-back draws.
Mark Cooper’s side were made to make do with a goalless draw at home to Hampton & Richmond Borough last weekend.
That result followed a point at Dartford as Jordan Young scored late on to salvage a share of the spoils for the Glovers.
Rhys Murphy’s penalty had put the league leaders in front at Princes Park, but goals from George Alexander and Richard Chin put Dartford in front with 20 minutes to go.
But Young struck his 8th goal of the campaign with twelve minutes left to make it 2-2.
Glovers’ number 11 is enjoying a great campaign – with five assists to go alongside his eight league goals making him one of the main threats to look out for.
Head to Head
The Sports welcome Yeovil Town to Priory Lane for the first time in their history, with September’s reverse fixture the first time the teams had ever met.
In a well-contested affair in temperatures exceeding 30 degrees in Somerset, Frank Nouble’s header gave the Glovers an early lead.
But the Sports fought back, and two goals from Jack Paxman – his first for the club – gave them a 2-1 lead.
However, they couldn’t hold onto their advantage with Nouble getting his second in first half stoppage time to make it 2-2 at the break.
In a tighter second period, it was the hosts who prevailed with Josh Owers’ strike from outside the area giving them a narrow win.

Turnstiles will be open from 1.30pm at Priory Lane ahead of the 3pm kick off. Matchday ticket prices are as follows: Adult £18, Concessions £14, Students/U18 £9 and Under 12s are free with a paying adult.
