Eastbourne Borough are delighted to announce Pierce Bird has extended his loan at Priory Lane for the rest of the season.

The defender joined on an initial one month loan from National League AFC Fylde last month, but after playing regularly and producing some impressive performances, has extended his time with the Sports.

After making his debut in the win against Farnborough, Bird has been an ever-present since his arrival and has played his part in the Sports picking up two wins from their last four games – form they will need to carry on and even improve on as we approach the latter stages of the campaign.

Boss Adam Murray, who had previously worked with the defender at the Coasters, said: “It’s great to have Pierce for the rest of the season.

He’s a top player. His performances have grown since he’s been here.

“I expect him to keep the same level of performance he gave us on Tuesday for the final 13 games of the season.”
