Eastbourne Borough are delighted to welcome Camron Gbadebo back to the club following his successful recovery from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury.
The defender, 22, ruptured his ACL just minutes into his debut for the club in the away game at Welling United in December last season.
It’s been a long road to recovery for the former Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Manchester City youth player, but now he is excited about making his return to first team action.
It was a long journey, but it’s built me up mentally and I’m ready to go now…
“It’s great to be back. It’s been a long time coming, and I’m really excited to show the fans and everyone what I can do,” said Camron after signing on at The ReachTV Stadium.
“It was a long journey, but it’s built me up mentally and I’m ready to go now.
“The gaffer is amazing. From day one, he’s been in touch with me and made sure I’m doing the right things and I can’t wait to play under him.”
Boss Adam Murray added: “Cam has been training with us for a while now and has impressed me immensely.
“He is a very composed – but aggressive – centre back with huge potential. I’m delighted we have him on board and I feel he will be a big part of what we are doing.”
Cam will wear the number 30 shirt, and is available for selection for our FA Trophy tie at Boreham Wood tomorrow (Saturday).
