Hutchinson returns to Priory Lane after a six-month loan spell from Colchester United last season, where he scored 13 goals in all competitions. That form saw him join Aldershot Town for the second half of last term, scoring four times for the National League side.

After finding first team opportunities limited with Colchester, he joined Scottish League One side Queen of the South on deadline day this summer. However, his appearances across the border have been largely restricted to coming from the bench – scoring once this season – and he comes back to the Lane for the rest of the season.
