Wright, 23, joined Eastbourne Borough in the summer of 2024 after a successful spell at Galway United, where he was crucial in their promotion push. Known for his excellent shot-stopping ability and commanding presence, Joe is expected to be a key figure in goal for The Sports.

Joe came through the academy at EFL Championship side Millwall, and enjoyed loan spells at Cray Wanderers and then fellow National League South side Bath City in 2022/23. A loan spell at Salford City followed in 2023/24, before a move to Galway in January 2024.
